Outreach clinics

StreetVet volunteer vets, veterinary nurses and support volunteers run regular outreach clinics in more than 30 communities across the UK - meeting people where they are and providing practical, compassionate veterinary care.

Out-of-area support

Out-of-area support is limited, targeted veterinary support offered to clients who meet our eligibility criteria in locations where we do not yet have an active volunteer outreach team.

If you are not near an outreach location, you can still contact us for guidance and next steps.

What the clinical team does

The clinical team’s role includes:

  • Assessing and prioritising referrals - identifying which animals need care and how urgently

  • Confirming eligibility for StreetVet support in line with the charity’s criteria

  • Coordinating treatment - arranging appointments, investigations and surgical procedures where needed

  • Managing clinical logistics and costs - obtaining estimates, approving care and ensuring funds are used responsibly

  • Arranging practical support - helping pets and owners attend appointments where barriers exist

  • Providing ongoing support and guidance - to volunteers and pet owners

  • StreetVet and the clinical team are supported by an Ethics Committee, which provides guidance and advice in challenging and complex cases ensuring decision making is balanced and animal welfare is safeguarded
