StreetVet Cookie Policy
Our website https://www.streetvet.co.uk and https://www.streetvet.org.uk/ is operated by StreetVet. The website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users. This helps us to provide you with a better customer experience when you browse our website(s) and also helps us to improve our website(s) and make it /them more relevant for you.
We will ask for your permission to place cookies on your device, except where they are strictly necessary to provide you with a service you have requested, for example to ensure we can process and fulfil your orders, or in order for our websites to work properly. If you give permission for us to set cookies, you may withdraw this consent at any time.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file which is downloaded and stored on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. Where cookie technology is not available, an anonymous identifier may be used. An anonymous identifier is a random string of characters used for the same purposes as a cookie. When we refer to “cookies” in this policy (or our Privacy Policy) we are referring to both cookies and similar technologies.
Your browser accesses the cookie file only when you visit the website that generated it. This helps to ease your navigation by automatically logging you in and remembering your preferences and what’s in your shopping basket. Cookies allow websites like ours to deliver you a personalised shopping experience.
The information stored within any given cookie can only be accessed by the website that created it and cookies are limited to communicating only the information that you have disclosed to the website.
With the exception of strictly necessary cookies, cookies are optional, and we ask for your permission before placing cookies on your device.
Managing Cookies
We will ask for your permission to place cookies on your device, except where they are strictly necessary. You can provide your consent to the use of optional cookies by clicking the “Accept All Cookies” button on our cookies information notice, or by accessing the privacy preference centre which is also in the cookies information notice that appears on the website when you visit our site for the first time. It can also be accessed by clicking the “Cookies Settings” option at the bottom of the website at any time.
Within our privacy preference centre you can provide consent to certain categories of optional cookies by ticking the box on the right-hand-side of each category and clicking the “Confirm My Choices” button.
You can withdraw any consent at any time to the use of cookies through the same functionality (i.e. clicking on the ticked box, which will then un-tick the box) and clicking the “Confirm My Choices” button. It may be necessary to refresh the website page for the updated settings to take effect.
If you wish to remove cookies previously placed on your device by our websites, or to stop our websites placing further cookies on your device, you can do this at any time. You can also set your browser to delete cookies, to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you delete, disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly.
If cookies aren't enabled on your computer, it will mean that your shopping experience on our website will be limited to browsing and researching; you won't be able to add products to your basket or buy them. To enable and manage cookies, you can use your browser to do this. Each browser is different, so check the 'Help' menu of your particular browser (or your mobile phone's handset manual) to learn how to change your cookie preferences.
Types of cookie
We use the following types of cookie
Strictly necessary cookies: These cookies are necessary for the website to function or to provide a service you have requested and cannot be switched off in our systems. We do not require your consent to set these cookies. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the website will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
Functional cookies: These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.
Performance cookies: These cookies allow us to count our visitors and identify traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our website. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how our visitors move around the website. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our website, and will not be able to monitor its performance.
Tracking cookies: These cookies may be set through our site by our third party advertising partners. They may be used to build a profile of your interests based on your browsing history, and will show you relevant adverts when you visit other websites. Tracking cookies are based on identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will still receive advertising on the websites you visit, but the ads will be general rather than targeted to you.
