StreetVet Film Earns Prestigious Judges' Choice Award
StreetVet Wins Smiley Charity Film Award 2025
StreetVet is proud to announce that its short documentary, StreetVet: Never Underestimate the Power of Pets, has won the Corporate Cause – Judges Choice Award at the 2025 Smiley Charity Film Awards.
The award was presented at the prestigious Smiley Charity Film Awards on 20 March 2025, recognising the powerful partnership between StreetVet and Purina UK & Ireland, and the film's ability to shine a light on the life-changing impact of the human-animal bond, and the impact of our work supporting those experiencing homelessness and their pets across the UK.
Directed by Steph Keelan and made possible through the generous support of Purina, the 24-minute documentary explores the extraordinary bond between people and their pets, and the life-changing work of StreetVet's volunteer veterinary professionals who provide free, accessible veterinary care on the streets.
Since premiering in London in May 2025, the film has received widespread recognition, earning multiple awards and festival selections, including screening at the prestigious Raindance Film Festival and selection for film festivals around the world. To date, the film has received twelve award wins and six honourable mentions, highlighting the powerful message at its heart: never underestimate the power of pets.
The Smiley Charity Film Award is a testament not only to the quality of the film, but also to the incredible stories of resilience, companionship and hope shared by StreetVet clients, volunteers and supporters.
