Being dyslexic no longer holds me back, it shapes me
My relationship with dyslexia has been a long, winding journey.
Some heroes wear capes. Others walk beside us on four legs.
Little Heroes is a national cinema campaign created to celebrate the incredible pets who provide comfort, companionship and stability to those experiencing homelessness. For many StreetVet clients, a pet is much more than an animal companion. They are family, a source of unconditional love and often the reason to keep moving forward during the toughest times.
Through this campaign, we wanted to share the life changing impact of the human animal bond and introduce new audiences to StreetVet's mission of ensuring that no pet goes without essential veterinary care because their owner is experiencing homelessness.

In 2026, Animal Friends Insurance gifted StreetVet a national cinema advertising campaign .
The 30 second 'Little Heroes' advert was shown across the Pearl & Dean cinema network, including Everyman, Curzon and Showcase cinemas, reaching audiences throughout the UK.
Originally launched alongside Supergirl screenings, the campaign was later extended through additional placements linked to the Spider Man release, helping StreetVet reach more than 200,000 cinema admissions nationwide.
At StreetVet, we see every day how powerful the bond between owners and their pets can be.
For those experiencing homelessness, a pet can provide routine, purpose and emotional support during times of uncertainty. That bond is often the foundation on which trust, recovery and positive change are built.
Little Heroes helps tell these stories in a way that encourages understanding, compassion and action.
By raising awareness of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness and their pets, we can inspire more people to support a future where no one has to choose between a roof over their head and their beloved companion.
This campaign was made possible through the generous support of Animal Friends Insurance and valued media partners who helped bring StreetVet's message to cinema audiences across the UK.
Their support enabled us to share the stories behind our work, reach new audiences and raise awareness of the vital human animal bond that sits at the heart of everything we do.
We will use everything you give - in cash or kind - to provide much-needed veterinary care and support to the pets of those experiencing homelessness across the UK.
