Under the alias Hercule Van Wolfwinkle, Phil began drawing self-proclaimed ‘rubbish’ pet portraits in 2020 to amuse his son during lockdown. His humorous ‘ultra-realistic’ style quickly gained a loyal social media following, turning likes into donations for local homeless charity Turning Tides. 

In February 2021, StreetVet co-founder Jade connected with Hercule, and he immediately agreed to help. Hercule's initial fundraiser for StreetVet totalled over £6K in just 1 week and was the start of an incredible partnership announced in October 2021. Since then, Hercule has gone on to raise over £500,000 collectively for StreetVet and Turning Tides, while continuing to amuse and inspire thousands worldwide with his creativity and challenges. 

Phil (aka Hercule Van Wolfwinkle) said ‘When I got the call from Jade to support StreetVet, I didn’t hesitate in saying yes. I was drawing pictures of people’s pets to raise money and awareness for those experiencing homelessness, so to be able to support a charity that helps the pets of homeless individuals was a no-brainer. It is an honour and a privilege to fundraise for StreetVet and to support them in a small way with the amazing work that they do.’
